9/14/17 Updates!
Hello Parents!
We appreciate your patience during this transition and wanted to give you some updates and introductions.
First, we’d like to thank Coach Thoman for starting the season off, and wish her the best of luck! Secondly, we’d like to welcome Coach Jones back to the program. For those who don’t know Coach Jones, a brief introduction. Coach Jones has seven years of varsity cheerleading coaching experience, including the past four years here at Eastern. She is excited to be back in the program working with all the athletes and leading the Jr H cheerleaders to a successful season.
As we work through this transition there will be some changes beginning with the practice on 9/19/17.
All cheerleaders are expected:
To have a ribbon in their hair at each practice. All hair must be up and off their shoulders.
To have no jewelry on whatsoever. Leave it at home. Coaches are not responsible for lost items.
To keep their phones in their cheer bags. We have a lot of work to do and no time for distractions.
Varsity is expected to fill out their work out schedule for each practice.
To come prepared to work. Following directions the first time, giving their best effort, and showing respect is expected at all times.

New Coach and 2017 Information!

- Thursday, Aug. 3rd 7-8pm Optional Open Gym- HS Wrestling Room
- Monday, Aug. 7th 6pm Parent Meeting; Mandatory Open Gym following until 8:30pm
- Tuesday, Aug. 8th 6:15pm Open Gym; 7pm Evaluations begin
Parent Meeting: Cheerleaders and parents/guardians should attend! This meeting will provide details about the season, give you a chance to meet the coaches and learn about our expectations, as well as share your questions.
Open Gym: This is a time for you to work on your skills! My hope is that you all have been conditioning this summer and working on your tumbling skills! Your coaching staff will be at open gyms to assist you in preparing for evaluations.
Evaluations: You will be signing up for a time slot on Monday and you are to leave when your tryout is over. Numbers will be sent out via email when the coaches are done evaluating and placing teams. Another email with evaluation rubrics will be sent out in a few days for you to review and use to prepare.
Communication: Please spread the word and share my email address (EYcheer@gmail.com) to those interested in cheering! For now, this will be the primary way of getting information out to you.
Please be patient as Coach Grazer and I work out the logistics of getting the season rolling. With the extremely late start to the season, our focus is to get the teams organized and prepared for the first football games.

Banquet
All Football and Basketball Cheerleaders:
If you completed a FULL SEASON (aka you were not removed from the team for any reason including grades, disciplinary action, or if you left the team) you are invited to our yearly banquet on March 21st 2017 at 5:45PM
Dress is business casual for the athletes.
Parents please bring a dessert or appetizer to share, we'll have picnic food available!
Our letters will be awarded at this time.
See you in the high school cafeteria at 5:45pm on March 21st!

EVERYTHING must be returned. All Warm Ups and Uniforms MUST BE DRY CLEANED. If you do not present a receipt or dry cleaning tag, you won't be able to turn in the items.
Anyone with missing items will not be invited to the end of the year banquet at the end of March. Date is TBD.

Jr High Uniform Turn In
JR HIGH Thursday 2/16/17
Please attend uniform turn at 6pm in the team room. You must wash all items before you return. If it is not it will be returned to you to clean. If you did not receive your pictures you need to turn your uniform in. You MAY NOT turn it into the office unless you reach out to Coach Grazer via text or phone call to make that arrangement.

YAIAA Round 1
Varsity will be cheering at West York in the first YAIAA game on Saturday at 6pm. We will have practice from 3:30- 4:45pm before getting on the bus at 4:50pm. This is pending approval. If your child is not riding the bus home, they will need a form from the office. Girls please dress in Warm Ups and Eastern T shirt for school Friday.
